From 25.75 in to 32.05 in — 6.30 in of range on one wheel diameter. The gap in the middle is real: there is nothing between 27.66 in and 30.04 in, because the 19-inch wheel serves two separate markets and nothing in between wants one.
This size sits fourth from the bottom, in the densest part of the performance group where six sizes occupy under two inches of diameter.
What a 19-inch wheel actually implies
Only that the hole in the middle is 19 in across. Overall diameter is the wheel plus two sidewalls, and the sidewall varies here by nearly a factor of two — 3.38 in at one end of the table and 6.53 in at the other.
Anyone reasoning from wheel diameter to vehicle ride height, gearing or speedometer reading is reasoning from the smaller of the two terms in the sum. The tire size code reference sets out the whole equation.
The 245 stack: 18, 19 and 20 inches
245/45R18 measures 26.68 in and 245/35R20 measures 26.75 in. This size sits between them at 26.72 in, with the same 9.65 in of section throughout. The three are 0.07 in apart end to end and differ only in how the same standing height is divided between metal and rubber.
Which rear size actually pairs with it
Because this is so often a front size, the useful question is what can sit behind it without the two axles running different rolling diameters.
275/35R19 is the answer the table above makes obvious once it is read for height rather than for width: 26.58 in against 26.72 in, a difference of 0.14 in and 0.52%, with 1.18 in of extra section width. Front and rear stand effectively the same height and the rear is materially wider, which is the whole intent of a staggered set.
275/40R19 is the trap. It is the same 1.18 in wider, but it is also 0.94 in taller — 3.54% — because it keeps the 40-series aspect ratio rather than dropping to 35. Fitted as a rear pair it produces a permanent front-to-rear diameter mismatch, and what that means for a differential or for anything comparing wheel speeds belongs to the pair rather than to either code.
