So this is one of the few sizes in the catalogue whose usual fitment path runs downhill. Wider, and shorter than the narrow one above it
Read the fourth row against the third. 245/40R19 is 1.18 in narrower than this size and 0.14 in taller. A tire more than an inch slimmer stands higher, because forty per cent of 245 mm is more sidewall than thirty-five per cent of 275 mm.
That inversion is easy to miss when sizes are quoted as a first number, and it matters when the two are being cross-shopped for the same wheel. The width ordering and the height ordering of a performance range are not the same ordering, and only one of them affects the instruments.
