What does not stay the same is the last column. This size carries 5.05 in of casing; the 17-inch entry carries 7.53 in, half as much again. Five inches of wheel diameter have been paid for entirely out of sidewall, and the tire stands in the same place at the end of it.

Reading down that list by sidewall instead gives 7.04 in, 5.95 in and 5.05 in. A buyer moving up the wheel range on this truck is not changing the tire's height, the gearing or the instruments — they are removing two inches of casing depth from each corner.
