Neither factory axle ratios nor transmission gear ratios are recorded for this platform. A figure that could not be confirmed against a source is left out rather than printed: an invented ratio yields engine-speed arithmetic that looks exactly as authoritative as a measured one. Four steps up one ladder

Total variation across all four: 0.21 in, or 0.84%. Between the 15-inch base and the 17-inch fitment specifically it is 0.01 in — the two are the same height to a hundredth of an inch, across two inches of wheel.
Each step adds an inch of wheel, adds width, and cuts the aspect ratio by enough to give the height back. That is the plus-sizing convention, and this option list is as clean an example of it as exists.
What each step costs and buys
Sidewall falls by nearly an inch and a half across the range, from 4.99 in to 3.54 in. Width grows by 1.18 in. Rolling diameter does not move.
The consequences are entirely in behaviour rather than in geometry: a shorter, stiffer sidewall responds to steering inputs more directly and transmits more of the road surface, and there is progressively less material between the rim flange and a pothole edge. A 3.54 in sidewall is a thin margin on a road with winter damage.
Both recorded upgrades are also within 2%
205/50R17at 25.07 in — from205/55R16, +0.19 in and 0.78%, with zero change in section width. A pure wheel-size step at constant width.235/40R18at 25.40 in — from225/40R18, +0.31 in and 1.26%, adding 0.39 in of width at the same aspect ratio.
Neither disturbs the instruments. From the 15-inch base, 235/40R18 is +0.42 in and 1.69%, which
is still inside any substitution tolerance.
This is a platform where every plausible change is small, and the reason is the same as the reason the factory range is tight: a hatchback's wheel wells are packaged closely and the vehicle's systems were calibrated once.
Going the other way for winter
The ladder runs downward as well, and on this platform that is the most common second set. Moving
from 225/45R17 to 205/55R16 is a 0.38% change in rolling diameter — nothing — and it returns
0.45 in of sidewall, narrows the tread by 20 mm, and puts a cheaper wheel between the road and an
expensive one.
Narrower is generally the direction that suits snow, and the arithmetic makes the substitution free of consequences for the speedometer, the odometer and the gearing.

Where the convention came from
The reason this ladder looks so orderly is that it was designed as one. European manufacturers specify tire sizes for a vehicle as a family of substitutions rather than as independent choices, so a car sold across four wheel sizes has four sizes chosen to be interchangeable in every respect except sidewall and width.
North American practice historically allowed rather more drift between trims, which is why several platforms elsewhere on this site show spreads of four or five percent across their factory ranges while this one holds 0.84%.
The final drive is inside the gearbox, which is why it is missing
The ratio column is empty, and on this car the reason is structural rather than clerical. A front-wheel-drive car with a transaxle carries its final drive inside the gearbox: there is no differential housing to carry a tag, and the figure varies with the gearbox code rather than with the model. It is harder to source, not less real, and the gearbox code on the vehicle is where it lives.
At changes under 2%, the gearing consequence is not detectable in ordinary driving in any case.
What geometry does not settle
Whether a 16-inch wheel clears the brakes on your particular version — the performance variants of this platform have larger front discs than the base cars — and whether a tire clears the strut and liner at full lock. Both are measured on your own car, and the first is the one that decides whether the cheapest winter package on this list is available to you at all: a 16-inch wheel over a performance variant's front disc is a yes-or-no answer, not a matter of degree.
