Ford F-150 14th gen: the 33 that changes nothing
One factory size and one popular upgrade land within a hundredth of an inch of each other, which makes this the rare change with no speedometer consequence at all.

Neither factory axle ratios nor transmission gear ratios are recorded for this platform. A figure that could not be confirmed against a source is left out rather than printed: an invented ratio yields engine-speed arithmetic that looks exactly as authoritative as a measured one. A substitution with no arithmetic
275/60R20 measures 32.99 in. 33x12.50R20 measures 33.00 in. The difference is 0.01 in, a
change of 0.02%, and at an indicated 70 mph the actual speed is 70.0.
Nothing moves. Not the speedometer, not the odometer, not the effective final drive, not the ride height at the axle. What does move is section width — the flotation tire is 1.67 in wider — and the tread pattern, which is usually the entire point of the exercise.
This is worth knowing because it inverts the usual advice. On this trim, going to a nominal 33 is not a size increase at all; it is a width increase wearing a bigger-sounding name.
The tallest factory size makes some upgrades into downgrades
275/60R20 is the tallest recorded fitment on this platform, and that produces a result people do
not expect: 285/70R17, a size most F-150 owners think of as an upgrade, is 0.28 in shorter
than it. Fitting one to a 20-inch trim reduces rolling diameter by 0.86%, and the speedometer would
begin to over-read.

275/65R18 and LT275/65R18 are the same geometry in two casing standards — identical diameter,
identical width, different load rating and different reference inflation. The spread from the base
17-inch fitment to the 20-inch one is 2.49 in, or 8.16%.
The step to 35s, from each starting point
35x12.50R20 at 35.00 in is where owners of this platform most often end up:

A 33 with no extra sidewall
There is a second thing hiding in that near-zero substitution. 33x12.50R20 has 6.50 in of
sidewall, and so does the 275/60R20 it replaces — necessarily, since both stand 33 inches tall on
the same 20-inch wheel.
So the flotation tire brings no extra depth of rubber to absorb a pothole edge before the rim takes it, despite sounding like a considerably more serious tire. Its aspect ratio works out at 52, which is low for a size sold in inch notation, and that is a direct consequence of putting a 33-inch tire on a 20-inch wheel at all.
Owners who want sidewall as well as tread pattern have to go down in wheel diameter, not up in nominal tire size. That is the trade the 18-inch and 17-inch fitments offer.
The ratio column, and why it is not a serious loss here
That blank costs nothing above. Diameter, width, ride height and speedometer error are all functions of geometry alone. Engine speed is the one question that needs a ratio, and if you have your truck's — the door sticker's axle code or the tag on the differential — the gear ratio calculator will take it directly.
What the numbers do not decide
Whether any of these clears the wheel wells, the liners, the sway bar links or the frame on your truck. That depends on cab and bed configuration, wheel offset and suspension, and this generation adds a variable the older ones did not have: the hybrid version carries an onboard generator and its own packaging behind the axle, so "an F-150" is a less uniform object under the bodywork than it looks from outside.
